Stake YW's Girl's Camp

What a great bunch of Young Women! The above picture is of all the young women that were there, except for the 50+ YCL's that we had who wore green shirts. Below is a group picture of our Ward's Young Women and the leaders that were there. Megan is the smiley one on the end of the third row :)

Megan had such a fun week and even made some new friends!

Below is a picture of all the Stake leaders that were there. You probably recognize Sis. Colegrove in the back--she was one of six cooks. Sis. Denison served as the life guard and took care of the lake front. Sis. Finlayson is the Stake Camp leader and my good friend, Karen Prince, is sitting behind me--we were in charge of the programs each night. And we were blessed to have three Priesthood brethren there all week--they were our heroes!

We did have some good rain storms during the week--and after one good storm we were blessed with the most beautiful rainbow over our camp.

For the Spiritual program on Thursday night, we asked all the Stake and Ward leaders and YCL's to dress in white. It was such a neat sight and it truly looked like "angels were among us" at camp. Below is a picture of the YCL's in our Ward and their two leaders all dressed in white.

Megan was able to be one of the YCL's that helped with Crafts and the Service project. She was a busy girl all week--this happened to be one of her "tired" moments. For the service project, we made temple scrunchies which are desparately needed at the Dallas Temple.

All week long and especially during our 3 mile hike--we saw deer and elk and other wild animals.

These are some of the Ward Banners that were made and that we displayed in front of the stage area--they really added to our programs all week.

Our theme for camp was "Catching the Wave of Righteousness" and so there were lots of activities that centered around that theme. One activity was having all the YCL's make Sarongs the first day we were there.

Dad was sure busy at Girl's Camp helping with all kinds of things, giving Blessings, giving lots of talks--luckily, he did find some time to play and ride a scooter around for a few minutes while we were setting up the stage area.

We spent a lot of time helping Sis. Denison--she is such a good friend!
